The Manhunt debuted in 2024 as a BAPE moccasin built around a thick ripple sole, and the Tabi update splits the front of that silhouette into the two part shape of a traditional Japanese tabi sock while keeping the rest of the design intact.

Most of the upper comes in deep navy suede, broken up at the center by sashiko style woven panels with frayed edges. Lighter fabric and geometric patterning show through underneath, and the placement shifts from shoe to shoe rather than matching evenly.
Navy rope laces blend into the upper, stitching wraps the toe, and BAPE’s branding sits stamped near the heel with light contrast stitching at the back of the collar. The thick, off white ripple outsole carries over from the 2024 Manhunt, built on a lightweight base finished with a wide Vibram unit for grip.
How Is the Tabi Different From the Original Manhunt?
The Tabi keeps the Manhunt’s moccasin shape and its thick ripple sole, but splits the front into two sections modeled after traditional Japanese tabi socks. BAPE also swaps in sashiko style stitching and patchwork in place of the printed graphic the model usually carries.
