Austin City Limits is underway this month, and to celebrate, local retailer Kicking It has teamed up with adidas for a special release. The Gazelle Indoor takes on a colorful and detailed new look to celebrate the city’s live music scene, releasing this weekend.

Austin’s sneaker scene has grown into something unique, part music-fest energy, part community gathering. Stores like Sneaker Politics and Kicking It ATX offer more than just shoes; they double as hang-out spots that host monthly events, raffles, and drops. Austin hosts its fair share of culture-driven gatherings too: Lace Up Sneaker Show, Streetwear Fleas, and SOLED OUT bring together vendors, artists, and collectors.

The city is also home to the famous Austin City Limits music festival, backing up the “Live Music Capital of the World” moniker. The festival spans two weekends, and includes hundreds of performances around the city from a huge range of artists. The festival is entering its second weekend tomorrow, and to celebrate, Kicking It has teamed up with adidas to create a special pair of the Gazelle Indoor for the occasion.

Releasing on Saturday at a special event hosted by Kicking It, the “Live Music” Gazelle packs a ton of details into its colorful design. The look is primarily cast in two shades of blue across its suede upper, adding a red tongue and yellow stripes for some extra contrast. Embroidered stripes down the outer sides represent the standard six string of a guitar, while a leather pick-shaped label is added to each heel. To cap off the design, Austin’s 512 area code is used for the shoe’s lace jewels.

KICKING IT X ADIDAS GAZELLE “LIVE MUSIC” RELEASE INFORMATION

The colorful new release from Austin retailer Kicking It and adidas has been scheduled to release this weekend, on October 11th, 2025. The store will be hosting a party for the release this Saturday, coinciding with the Austin City Limits music festival, and pairs will be available there for $120. There is currently no word about an online release.
