Japanese sneaker retailer atmos has a new collaboration on the way in January, teaming up with Asics to release a limited-edition colorway of their GEL-Kayano 14 retro in grey & purple tones.

Back in 2021, Asics revived their GEL-Kayano 14, a running shoe that originally debuted back in 2008. Now on their thirtieth iteration of the Kayano family, the model has stuck around for the past few years, racking up special collaborations from the likes of JJJJound and Awake NY. Now, a new project has surfaced, with atmos delivering their take on the older model in January. The project from the two Japanese brands colors the silhouette in a simple colorway, which starts with a light grey mesh base layer for the upper. The shoe’s synthetic overlays are added in charcoal grey and a dark shade of purple, with an anthracite black midsole underfoot.

ATMOS X ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 RELEASE INFORMATION

atmos’ take on the Asics GEL-Kayano 14 runner has been scheduled to release early next year, on January 13th, 2024. Dressing the shoe in grey with dark purple accents, pairs will likely be available from both partners as well as select retailers for $180.
