Building off the massive success of his first, and now second, signature shoes with adidas, Anthony Edwards is gearing up for some lifestyle releases in 2026. This week, his version of the classic Superstar has surfaced in a metallic teal look.

Anthony Edwards is on top of the sneaker game at the moment, dominating in the performance basketball shoe space. The AE1 was a massive success for adidas, heralded as the best new sneaker in 2024 and racking up SOTY nominations. The model’s follow-up arrived this season, and while it hasn’t had enough time to match the hype of the AE1, the AE2 is an excellent second outing. This month, we’ve had plenty of news regarding the next step in Edwards’ footwear journey, which will take him into the lifestyle arena with the adidas Superstar.

Our first look at the AE Superstar came late in October, as Ant stepped out wearing a tonal navy blue edition of the classic model in crocodile leather. This week, a second pair has surfaced, this time in official images, giving us a better look at changes to the model and a brighter second color scheme. The look for this pair features a glossy, seemingly metallic teal color for the upper. The main body panels come with a unique pattern, though it is not immediately identifiable. White leather accents make up the Stripes, tongues, and heels, with a navy blue leather lining tucked inside. Finally, the Superstar’s toe cap has been reworked, removing the usual striped design in favor of a single, solid piece, and adding the AE logo etched on top.

The first non basketball shoe release from Anthony Edwards and adidas has not been announced yet, currently expected to arrive sometime in 2026. Like many Three Stripes athletes, AE’s first foray into casual footwear will be the Superstar, dressing the shoe in a metallic teal finish with white leather accents. Pairs will likely be available through both adidas and select retailers, and pricing is currently unknown.
