If you were among the many who swung and missed at the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Bred” earlier this year, you are about to get more chances. After a bevy of conflicting reports, we were recently able to confirm that the sneaker is returning to close out Jordan Brand’s banner 40th anniversary.

Coinciding with a “Banned” campaign around NBA All-Star Weekend, the earlier Jordan 1 High ’85 “Bred” release was kept to just 10,000 units available through 23 NBHD stores in Jordan Brand’s retailer network, meaning pairs were nearly impossible to secure. The Holiday 2025 edition is the exact same shoe, save for a new style code and an extra set of laces featuring gold detailing and tips.

The updated version coincides with the release of a $2,300 Jordan book created for collectors with deep pockets. Those who purchased the book have reported receiving the new Jordan 1 High ’85 “Bred” for free (depending on how you look at it, I guess).

So why the renewed spotlight? Dover Street Market recently listed the new “Bred” ’85s on its website, where they sold out almost instantly. Expect more boutiques to release pairs in the near future. As of this writing, no concrete date has been announced. A Nike SNKRS drop seems unlikely since the earlier edition released only through retailers.
