adidas and Y-3’s shared catalog over the past two decades and change is extremely extensive, yet their partnership continues to find unexplored territory all these years later. Bringing Yohji Yamamoto’s label into the adidas Running sub-brand is a prime example, further blurring the line between performance wear and high fashion by bringing the luxe design language onto the track and beyond. As Y-3 unleashes their Spring/Summer 2025 offerings, they’re letting loose six colorways on some of the brand’s foremost silhouettes.

Though Y-3 is prone to overhauling previously existing models compositionally, they largely leave the hardware from the latest and greatest adidas Running products untouched, maintaining the blend of LIGHTLOCK uppers and LightStrike Pro cushioning underfoot.

Instead, their presence is felt most in the colorways, particularly with the two editions of the adios 9 and adios Pro that share a midsole gradient from cream to brown to dark grey. Their penchant for the neutral and metallic plays out in opposing cream and black looks for those models, while sky blue and “Magic Lime” pairs stick out in their embrace of bright pastels.

Alongside these footwear options, Y-3 also issued a wide range of running apparel, spread across both men’s and women’s with tees, running jackets, and other performance gear. Those clothing options and the Y-3 adios Pro ($350) are available now via adidas.com, though many sizes of the latter are sold out at the time of writing. A US release for the adios Pro 9 ($250) is still pending.
