adidas is tossing their hat into the recovery shoe game this week. The Purechill is their latest foam slip-on, designed to provide comfort and relaxation to your feet after a long day or a tough workout.

Recovery shoes have grown rapidly in recent years as athletes and everyday consumers place more emphasis on comfort and post-activity recovery. This category has expanded beyond simple slide sandals into foam-rich clogs, supportive sneakers, and even tech-enhanced designs. Brands are focusing on softer cushioning, ergonomic shaping, and materials that reduce impact on tired joints. As running, gym training, and long workdays become more common parts of daily life, people increasingly turn to recovery footwear for relief.

This week, adidas has unveiled their latest entry in the growing recovery shoe market, the Purechill. The new model comes in a molded foam construction, and looks strikingly similar to their 3D printed Climacool shoes. That model uses relies entirely on data-driven design, emphasizing stress point in the foot and areas that need extra support. Using that same data to create a recovery shoe is a very smart move. The model is releasing this weekend, and has seven colorways lined up for launch. Some are tonal, and some add contrasting Three Stripes for some added style.

adidas has readied their new recovery slipper to release on November 15th, 2025. The model will launch in at least seven colorways for its debut, all of which will be avialable directly from adidas as well as select retailers for just $75.
