Hartcopy and adidas are back with another round of the BW Army trainer. Initially released in 2024, Drop 2 of the low-top silhouette comes in two colorways this time, still featuring their red zig-zag stitching accent.
Hartcopy started in early 2020, documenting the world of sneakers, past and present, via Instagram. The online publication is an ode to print mediums of the past, showcasing eye-catching sneakers against a white backdrop with blocks of text describing the shoe’s history and intentions. With a handful of hardcover books under their belt in the last few years, they made the transition to real sneaker collaborations in 2024, teaming up with adidas to launch the revival of the BW Army trainer. They followed up that release with a second drop in late 2025, featuring the Adizero Evo SL performance runner.
This week, Hartcopy has announced another release of the BW Army trainer, this time featuring two colorways of the low-top for drop 2. Shared this morning on their IG page, the shoes are already available overseas in the UK and EU, though a global drop is set to follow soon. This release retains the simplicity of their initial BW Army release, drafting two simple monochrome editions of the retro military model. One pair comes in a soft, muted grey tone with light gum soles, while the other is cast in black with darker gum accents. Both pairs feature an off-white leather lining, and their signature red zig-zag stitch on the outer toes.
HARTCOPY X ADIDAS BW ARMY DROP 2 RELEASE INFORMATION
The second release from sneaker archivists Hartcopy and adidas launched today, though this initial drop is limited strictly to the United Kingdom and Europe. Hartcopy has stated that there will be a wider release for the rest of the world soon, though no timeline was given. Their new editions of the retro trainer come in a soft off-white shade or black, both featuring their signature red zig-zag stitch. Pricing is likely the same $130 as their first style.
