adidas has been on a roll with their Adistar models this year. Last year, the Stripes showcased a number of new additions to the family, including this Aditar Molded silhouette, now slated to debut this month.

The Adistar line from adidas originated in the 1970s, as a branch of their performance running line. After many popular releases, the line was shelved until a revival in 2008, when the Three Stripes repurposed the name for the Adistar Control 5, a silhouette that has returned as a lifestyle model in 2026, and featured in collaborations with Larry June and Unheardof. Late in 2025, the brand previewed some of their upcoming sneaker releases for this year, including a curios new addition to the fan-favorite line; the Adistar Molded. The model shown last year featured different materials for the molded single-piece overlay, either in suede with protrusions or rubberized plastic, giving the shoe its Molded name. Instead, the two colorways seen here feature a single piece of snakeskin-textured leather. One pair comes in a smooth combination of Linen Green with white and brown, while the second comes in a mix of blue tones with a silver overlay and dark red accents.

ADIDAS ADISTAR MOLDED RELEASE INFORMATION

adidas’ latest addition to their Adistar lifestyle family, the Adistar Molded sneaker, is currently scheduled for its debut on May 15th, 2026. This release will feature two styles of the retro-styled runner, a “Linen Green” look and an “Aurora Coffe” style, both in women’s sizing. These pairs are slated to release from German retailer AsphaltGold, with a price tag of approximately $150. If you’d rather pass on tariffs, there will likely be a US release to follow soon.
