Hot of the heels of the Air Max Sunder, Nike’s revival of archived 2000s silhouettes continues with the Air Max TL 2.5. Nike highlighted the sneaker during its most recent SNKRS Showcase, and now as promised, we’re starting to get a glimpse at some of the GR colorways expected to release later this year.
If you swing and miss trying to cop the CDG x Air Max TL 2.5, this “Black/Metallic Silver” pair is a viable if not better alternative to the black colorway being offered. It gives off a similar contemporary aesthetic but with a bit more flair, taken with reflective accents across the upper. Not to mention; it also costs $120 less.
For context; the Air Max TL 2.5 first debuted in the early 2000s as a new “Total Air” model, named after its full-length Air cushioning. The shoes didn’t reach mainstream consciousness back then, but given the ongoing Y2K sneaker wave, they’re faced with a ton of potential in 2024. Most pairs feature leather and mesh, and aesthetically speaking, the TL 2.5 gives off an Air Max 97 feel through its similar, wavy sidewalls.
Currently, the Air Max TL 2.5 “Black/Metallic Silver” is expected to hit shelves during the Holiday 2024 shopping season for $170. See official retailer images courtesy of Size? below and stick with us while we continue unboxing newly surfaced colorways.
