The Nike Air Foamposite One “Cough Drop” will return on August 15, 2025. This classic colorway, first released in the mid-2000s, will retail for $240.

Nike Sportswear is bringing life back to the Foamposite line by re-releasing original colorways, older classics, and new ones. For Fall 2025, the brand will revisit the “Cough Drop” Nike Air Foamposite One, a shoe with a simple color blocking but a strong following.

The Foamposite One “Cough Drop” has been released two times, and the third launch will occur in 2025. The first time the shoes hit retailers was in 2007. Although not an original colorway, this pair is deemed a classic. We saw another release drop three years later in 2010.

This Nike Air Foamposite One comes dressed in a Black and Varsity Red color scheme. Highlighted with Black across the Foamposite shell with the same shade on the mesh tongues, laces, nubuck eyestays, and heels. Varsity Red stands out on the branding, pull tabs, and down the tongues. The “Cough Drop” nickname comes from the Red semi-translucent outsole that resembles traditional cough drops.

Update (7/24/25): Nike has unveiled official photos of the Foamposite One “Cough Drop.” The Nike SNKRS Live stream shared a “first look,” but the pair featured a solid Red rubber outsole, similar to the 2007 pair. However, official photos leaked, showing that the shoes will have a translucent Red rubber outsole, like the 2010 pair. A release is scheduled for August 15th.
