Wales Bonner x adidas Superstar Releasing in Fall 2024

Grace Wales Bonner’s eponymous fashion label has become one of the most popular names in sneakers at the moment, through their collaboration with adidas. The two have put our regular seasonal collections for several years, with their latest on the way for Fall 2024, and now including the classic Superstar.

The partnership between Britain’s Wales Bonner and adidas began late in 2020, when the two released their initial high-end versions of the classic Samba. The luxurious take on the classic trainer is arguably the start of the surge of popularity we are still seeing today for the football shoe, and the two have capitalized on their own trend by continuing with seasonal releases of the silhouette. Over the past few years, they’ve added other models to their arsenal, though none have hit quite like the Samba. This year’ the latest contender appears to be another all-time great adi shoe; the Superstar.

The Wales Bonner specialty from the last few years has been taking some of our favorite adidas models, and reworking the with ultra high quality materials and some unique design touches. Some Sambas came with luxurious suedes or added stitching, and the Superstar appears to be starting with the materials for their first release. Donning the classic white colorway with black stripes, the pair teased this week is constructed from crocodile leather, and appears to have some elements from mens dress shoes wrapping around the heels. Gold foil branding is present, of course, while a maroon inner lining completes the look.

The next seasonal collection from Wales Bonner has not been announced for release yet, and will likely not arrive until sometime later in Fall 2024. Featuring the Superstar as the a new model for this series, this black and white croc leather pair will be available from both partners as well as select retailers, likely with a hefty price tag.
