Thom Browne is getting into the sneaker game this year. The suiting experts known for their iconic short suits has unveiled their first-ever foray into sneakers, teaming up with Asics to craft three tonal colorways of the GEL-Kayano 14.

ASICS Sportstyle’s collaborations with fashion brands have helped transform the Japanese brand from a performance-focused maker into a streetwear and fashion favorite. In recent years, ASICS has worked repeatedly with minimalist design studio JJJJound, before elevating their game to higher levels through projects with SHUSHU/TONG, Cecilie Bahnsen, Issey Miyake, and Kiko Kostadinov. Kiko even signed on to serve as the brand’s creative director of SportStyle releases for the last few years. This weekend, another big name has been added to the the growing list, suit makers Thom Browne.

Thom Browne held a runway show over the weekend to preview their upcoming goods for the Fall 2026 season. One of the most shocking parts of the shoe were the Asics trainers on the feet of some models, a first-ever dive into the world of sneakers for the label. The debut collection with the Japanese running brand will bring us three styles of the GEL-Kayano 14, all cast in tonal neutral colorways of steel grey, white, or black. Each pair features Browne’s signature red, white, and blue striping for the heel tabs and a tongue accent. The shoe has been reworked slightly to pack in a few subtle details, including piped edges for each of the suede overlays, zig-zag stitches over the Asics branding, and co-branded, striped insoles.

The debut sneaker release from Thom Browne has not been officially announced yet, but is currently expected to arrive on March 2nd, 2026. Teaming up with Asics, the suiting brand has cooked up three stunning pair of the GEL-Kayano 14 in tonal neutral colorways, white, grey, and black, each sporting the signature stripe detailing on tongues and heels. Pairs will likely be limited and sold through Browne’s official channels, with a price tag higher than your average GK14.
