In Beaverton’s rolodex, Wale is no doubt the go-to for basketball sneakers. On the ladies’ side, there’s a credible argument for Veneda Carter being the rapper’s foil, the stylist-to-the-stars providing first looks at a variety of fashion-forward products to come out of the Swoosh’s mill. The Nike Total 90 Shox Magia came to light through that exact channel, pushing together cresting soccer aesthetics and the chic adoption of the Shox vertical.

Though we’ve yet to hear further word on the silver/blue edition that Carter debuted, the silhouette’s market introduction came with a black patent leather edition assisted by Maha Amsterdam. Shots of a “Sail/Pale Ivory” now provide a look at the model dovetailing into the mainline. Soft off-white defines the quilted leather uppers, continuing through synthetic anchoring at the toe and at the heel. Of course, we can’t forgo discussion of the Shox units, decreased in overall height from kicks like the TL or R4, but still creating a kitten heel platform that simultaneously tackles the slim-sole movement and the increased acceptability of the piston-platformed tech.

A concrete release date for the Nike Total 90 Shox Magia in this “Sail/Pale Ivory” hasn’t surfaced just yet, but expect it to populate Nike.com (or SNKRS) sometime in January. A $180 sticker price is confirmed.
