The Nike Field General was resurrected to compete with the adidas Samba, and much like its primary rival, its renewed run has been defined by a wave of mold-breaking styles. Following a series of animal-inspired releases, we’ve now uncovered a new leather execution that leans into eye-catching, 2000s-era detailing.
While far removed design-wise, the aesthetic brings to mind recent pairs like the Vans Old Skool “Souvenir” and the Air Force 1 “Boucle”, both of which tap into the kind of indie-leaning, early-2000s look that’s been hot in recent seasons. Two different leather types make up the upper here, pairing smooth dark brown panels with pebbled Cinnamon overlays. Dark green appears on the tongue and backtab, while a Cream sockliner and light teal laces lighten the palette. The finer details are where the style stands out. The lateral Swoosh features broken-up stitching that subtly evokes sequins, while plus-shaped stitching lands on a black leather tongue tag.
The Nike Field General “Cinnamon” is expected to release Spring 2026 for $125 in men’s sizing. See official images below and hit our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse more upcoming pairs.
