As we’ve noted in our coverage of Peter Moore’s model within the past few months, Beaverton’s strategy with the Nike Dunk Low has been a breath of fresh air. While two-tone, simplistic fare was once an unending heartbeat underpinning the release radar, the company has shifted focus. Most of the new colorways that have come across our desk have featured some sort of material switch-up, commemorative touch, or otherwise experimental aspect that makes each worth consideration.
All of that said, undeniable wearability is what vaulted the Dunk to the forefront of the sneaker world toward the start of the decade, and creative as their designers may be, it remains in the Swoosh’s best interest to speak to that simplified concept from time to time. That’s exactly what’s in store with the shoe at hand, a fresh version of the Nike Dunk Low that sticks to a staid “Summit White” script for most of its composition, adding aquatic contrast with “Deep Royal Blue” flashes in the Swooshes, outsole, laces, and trim around the collar.
The Nike Dunk Low “Summit White/Deep Royal Blue” should be appearing on Nike.com in the coming weeks, retailing for $115 in adult sizing.
