The Swoosh isn’t afraid of putting a new spin on an old classic. 2008’s Nike Air Max Moto+ 6 became the Nike Air Max Moto 2k as the brand sought to capitalize on the still-raging “tech runner” wave. Despite Supreme’s take on the Air Max 2000 just a few short years ago, Beaverton has approached the full-force return of the Air Max 2000 with a rebranded touch as well, as consumers get familiar once again with the Air Max Ecstasy Plus.
Maybe it’s a desire to divorce this bring-back product from their work with Zellerfeld, or maybe focus groups responded better to this joyous title. Either way, this design rides in on the same hallmarks from its original run, a combination of rigid geometry and chunky overall profile. This “Desert Khaki” edition leans into its Y2K formula with a bronzed-out overall palette, , especially effective with the teal-to-tan gradients that poke through on the siding.
Expect the Nike Air Max Ecstasy Plus “Desert Khaki” to drop sometime in the coming weeks, retailing for $190. Catch official images below; we’ll have any new launch info reflected here or on our Sneaker Release Dates page.
