Does the Boston brand have trendier options than the 9060? Certainly, evidenced by the continuing pull of kicks like the New Balance 1906L or New Balance 204L. Do they have more popular options? Even multiple years into its lifespan, it’s hard to argue that they do, making up for the silhouette’s lack of secondary market markup with sheer metropolitan dominance.

As evidenced by how the “Black Cat” edition of this model and otherwise “Neon Nights” editions have achieved widespread adoption, diverging from base, neutral NB looks only further adds new life to their staples. Could splitting the difference between those two aesthetics do the same? The New Balance 9060 “Bred” seeks to answer that question, kitted with a blackout on its usual suede/mesh composition, starkly contrasted by the embroidered “N” branding and jeweled hits on the tongue and rear CR unit.

The New Balance 9060 “Bred” is due out sometime in the Holiday 2025 window, retailing for $150 upon launch.
