Nike has long had a penchant for “City Series” releases, with colors paying homage to various global municipal hubs. Next year, the Air Jordan 4 will take up the mantle with a “Berlin” release, coming in Spring.

Nike’s first entry in their City Series program started with the SB team and their signature take on the Dunk Low. In the early 2000s, the SB Dunk traveled the world to celebrate skate capitals across the globe, with special colorways for Paris, London, Tokyo, and New York, mostly in partnership with local artists and manufactured in extremely limited numbers. Since then, Nike has taken other models on globe-trotting adventures, but rarely does the Air Jordan line participate in these releases. Last year, the seal was broken with the Air Jordan 11, celebrating the shoe’s anniversary with a large collection of regional releases. Now the Air Jordan 4 is rumored to be jumping on the train, with a “Berlin” release scheduled for Spring 2027. The look will celebrate Berlin’s famous nightlife culture with a look inspired by the city crest, dressing the AJ4 in a blacked-out construction using pony hair and nubuck. The midfoot underlays add a concentric circle pattern similar to CdG’s Foamposite pack.

AIR JORDAN 4 “BERLIN” RELEASE INFORMATION

The upcoming city edition Air Jordan 4 is still a ways away, currently expected to release sometime during the Spring 2027 season. Celebrating the culture of Berlin with inspiration taken from the city’s crest, this blacked-out AJ4 will be available from both Nike and select retailers. Pricing is currently unknown, but is likely to be at least $215.
