atmos and adidas are hardly strangers to one another, consistently linking up for at least a handful of collaborations every year. Following more “Glow In The Dark Snake” shoes among other new projects released in 2024, the Japanese imprint is taking on one of the Three Stripes’ trendiest models.

This isn’t the adidas Samba, but the platformed Sambae for women. Far and away one of the most cleverly named shoes available at the moment, the Sambae typically features the classic Samba upper and a Clarks-like crepe sole underfoot, comprising a more street-minded take on the terrace classic. atmos brings a standard Sambae sole to its effort, but the upper is re-imagined with denim as opposed to leather. Eyes are first drawn to the heel, where a semi-functional zipper gives way to a layer of brown nubuck. An adidas Trefoil logo serves as the slider, while gold branding hits the heel portion underneath.

As for the rest of the upper, atmos calls in three different denim washes. The base layer opts for light blue, the T-toe and stripes feature a darker shade, and the tongue and backtab are comprised of white denim. The Japanese brand doesn’t work in Sashiko detailing as one might expect, but gives frayed edges to the toe, tongue, and eyelet panels.

The denim atmos x adidas Sambae is currently slated to release via atmos Japan on October 10th, but no word has been mentioned regarding a stateside drop at the time of this writing. Know that our Sneaker Release Dates hub will be kept current with all the latest available info.
