Jordan Brand has produced hundreds, if not thousands, of unique samples over the year, most of which never make it into consumers hands. Next year, the 2011 “Khaki” Air Jordan 3 will make it out of the vault and onto shelves for Summer.

Nike and Jordan brand are constantly experimenting with new colors and concepts across their most famous sneakers. The Jordan vault of samples in Beaverton is seemingly endless, with new styles unearthed every few months. With over four decades of Jumpman in production, there have been plenty of sample colors that never made it to shelves. In the last few years, Jordan has taken to rehashing some of these archival styles, fulfilling the dreams of NikeTalk and other message board users by finally giving them a chance to buy some gorgeous colors that never made it to shelves.

This week, we have news regarding an Air Jordan 3 sample from over fifteen years ago, the 2011 “Khaki” colorway. The pair never saw the light of day, but now thanks to a leak from @zSneakerHeadz, SneakerFiles, and SneakerMarket.RO, a release is expected next year. Landing just in time for Summer weather, the “Khaki” look mixes a a tan nubuck and leather upper with white secondary pieces for the heels, laces, and midsoles, adding accents in deep navy blue for the signature elephant print and eyestays. The pair seen in photos here is the OG 2011 sample, as no new production pairs have made it into the hands of the public quite yet.

AIR JORDAN 3 “KHAKI” RELEASE INFORMATION

The next archival sample from Jordan Brand to make its way onto retail shelves has not been officially announced yet, and is only rumored to release next Summer in June. The “Khaki” Air Jordan 3 originally surfaced in 2011, featuring a unique palette of light tan, white, and dark navy blue accents for a warm weather-ready style. Pairs will likely be available through both Nike and select retailers for a $215 price tag.
