The Air Force 1 has gone through dozens of iterations over the years, thanks to Nike’s endless tinkering of the icon’s shape. This year, the fan-favorite ’01 version is set to return in the classic triple white build.

Sneakers come and go with trends, but some models like the Air Force 1 are forever. Introduced in 1982, Nike has iterated on the basketball model regularly for the past 40+ years, messing with shape, materials, and cushioning technology for different styles. When it comes to modifying the shape, the Swoosh uses the year it was introduced as a stock-keeping designation. The most enduring version is the ’07, which is still in rotation nearly twenty years later.

This year, Nike has revived their 2001 version of the Air Force, featuring the shape and construction that longtime collectors point to as the best of the best. Fans of the AF1 have been asking for a return to this style for years, and our first hint arrived earlier this season with Nigo’s “Last Orgy 2” edition featuring the 2001 build. This week, another entry in the ’01 line has surfaced; the classic triple-white edition. Said to be in scarce supply, the standard-issue all white look is a great starting point for Nike’s return to the older shape, and will apparently continue with more collaborative models through the remainder of 2026.

NIKE AIR FORCE 1 ’01 “TRIPLE WHITE” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s retro of the 2001 Air Force 1 shape is apparently set to arrive later this Summer, though no date is available yet. The look is exactly what you’d expect, a crisp all-white build, but featuring the subtle differences longtime AF1 collectors cite as the gold standard for the silhouette. Rumors say that pairs will be very limited, so it is unclear if Nike will bring the revised shape back en masse, or simply for special projects. Pricing is expected to be $130.
