Sotheby's to Auction Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low "Court Purple" Sample

In 2004, Nike and Supreme joined forces for their second collaborative effort that saw the release of three colorways of the SB Dunk High. The shoes were all dressed in crocodile-embossed leather overlays with the gold-star detailing on the quarter panels. Adding another touch of opulence, the tongue tags boasted a golden Nike branding, while Supreme introduced a metallic gold dubrae, a rare addition for the SB Dunk line. Fast forward to 2021, Supreme and Nike revisited their collaboration with a new take on the SB Dunk Low.The low-top version also saw the same crocodile-embossed upper featuring the gold star pattern on the mid-panel. The SB Dunk Low arrived in four color options -- black, mean green, hyper blue and bakroot brown. However, an unreleased "Court Purple" colorway hit the 2021 lineup, notable for its gold Nike Swoosh logo, similar to that of the scrapped sample of the Supreme SB Dunk High in 2003.
