Sneaker Room x adidas Adistar Control 5 "PR"

adidas has tapped one of their collaborative partners for a new release this month, celebrating the island nation of Puerto Rico. Jersey City-based store Sneaker Room is launching the project through an art show in PR next week.

Bad Bunny has brought plenty of attention to his home, Puerto Rico, through his partnership with adidas. The musician often themes his special projects after various cities, cultural ideas, and his own personal history on the island. This week, adidas has unveiled their latest work celebrating Puerto Rico, but this time Benito is not attached to the project. Instead, New Jersey retailer Sneaker Room is leading this release, launching the shoe at a special event in PR this month. Sneaker Room’s founder, Suraj Kaufman, has led multiple giveback initiatives in the country, as well as for areas in India and of course his hometown, Jersey City. This release decorates the Adistar Control 5 in the colors of the Puerto Rican flag, featuring blue mesh, white synthetic overlays, and red accents. 3M accents decorate the Three Stripes, while a green & yellow outsole completes the look.

SNEAKER ROOM X ADIDAS ADISTAR CONTROL 5 “PR” RELEASE INFORMATION

Sneaker Room’s upcoming project with adidas has been scheduled to debut on May 16th, 2026. This release will be exclusive to an event in Puerto Rico, where guests will have the first chance to purchase the red, white, and blue Adistar Control 5. The sneaker will return for another stateside drop at a later date. Pricing is currently unknown.
