The Jordan collaboration floodgates have collapsed, and special-edition releases for the next year are starting to stack up. This week, a new leak says Milan’s Slam Jam will drop a two-pack of Air Jordan 8 styles in 2027.

Nike’s history of gatekeeping some of the most iconic Air Jordan sneakers is no secret. For years, the earlier models of the shoe, from 1 to 14, were only released in very limited numbers and in carefully considered colorways. The 2010s changed that, as sneakers became much more popular with the rise of social media and influencer culture leading to more and more people vying for limited stock of a hard-to-get shoe. Nike’s response was to flood the market, turning models like the Air Jordan 1, 3, and 4 into staples, with new colors launching each month. In the 2020s, collaborations with the Jumpman became more frequent, and will continue to grow into 2027.

The new wave of Air Jordan collaborations seems to be the future of their retro division. The Air Jordan 11 will release in its first collaborations ever this year, and more silhouettes are lining up for special releases in 2027. This week, a new leak from @zSneakerHeadz brings the Air Jordan 8 into the fold through a project with Slam Jam, the Milan-based retailer carrying high fashion, streetwear, and everything in between. The project will consist of two colors for the high-top silhouette, one based in Iron Grey and the other in Light Bone. Both feature complimentary secondary colors in similar tones, Off-Noir for the darker pair and Cave Stone for the lighter look, and both will add striking Varsity Red accents to the silhouette.

SLAM JAM X AIR JORDAN 8 PACK RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest leak of a Jordan Brand collaboration says the Slam Jam project will release sometime in Spring 2027, though a more precise window is unavailable right now. The Italian purveyors of fine sneakers and streetwear will release two styles of the Air Jordan 8, in either Iron Grey or Light Bone, both sporting bold Varsity Red accents. Pairs will likely release initially from SJ, before a global drop via SNKRS and select retailers. Pricing is currently unknown.
