size? is cooking up another exclusive release with New Balance this season, following up on their custom 2002R Protection styles from last spring. This time, the 204L trainer is under the knife, emerging with a gingham and brown suede build.

U.K. retailer size? might be one of the most prolific collaborators in the world of footwear, constantly releasing new projects from a huge array of footwear brands. Their one-off and SMU styles are often deep cuts from brand archives, filling up their Exclusives section with enough footwear to rival a brand like Kith in their output. While many of these special projects are simple recolors, size? saves their best work for officially sanctioned collaborations, going above and beyond with material and color choices for the top-tier releases. This week, the retailer is teasing their latest with New Balance, sharing a single top-down image of the 204L trainer to announce the upcoming drop. The pair seems to take some inspiration from a summer picnic, applying a green and white gingham pattern for the slim shoe’s underlay. Overlays are applied two shades of rich brown shaggy suede, while multiple sets of laces are threaded through the eyelets.

The upcoming collaboration from UK retailer size? and New Balance has not been fully unveiled yet, but the project is confirmed to land next week, on August 21st, 2026. Taking on the slim 204L for this release, size? has dressed the trainer in a green gingham print underlay, with rich brown suede tones for the overlays. Multiple sets of laces will come with each pair, which will drop exclusively through the retailer’s storefronts and online. Pricing is currently unknown.
