SHEIN Slammed for Selling Fake Jordans, YEEZYs and More

Popular fast-fashion retailer SHEIN have recently found themselves in hot waters after knockoff Air Jordan designs went viral online. According to TMZ Sports, following the negative attention Shein has received for selling fake shoes, the e-commerce site has scrubbed its platform of fake Air Jordan 11 and other retro models. The Air Jordan 11 replicas were sold for $49.99 USD and were described as "professional basketball sports shoes for men." The shoes appeared to be exact fakes down to the patent leather mudguard, only it came with an obvious key difference -- the absence of Jordan Brand's iconic Jumpman logo. When sneakerheads caught wind of the fake Jordans, many took to Twitter to express their disdain for the fast-fashion brand. A spokesperson spoke to TMZ regarding the allegations stating, "SHEIN takes all claims of infringement seriously and we have removed the product in question. Third-party sellers are required to comply with our SHEIN Marketplace policies and certify their products do not infringe IP." Aside from the fake Jordans, the site also appears to sell bootleg versions of YEEZY Slides, Foam Runners, Balenciaga shoes and even the MSCHF Big Red Boots.
