Who says NBA All-Star has to revolve around just basketball? Sure the game takes center stage, but the weekend as a whole has evolved into a full-blown cultural summit. And when the spotlight’s that bright, there’s no rule saying non-hoops brands can’t carve out lanes of their own. Vans is doing just that with a shock drop of the Satoshi Nakamoto x Vans Era 95 “Lucky Charms” in Los Angeles, announced by Ian Connor (embedded below).

As discussed last December, Satoshi Nakamoto’s third link-up with Vans delivers a pre-distressed, bedazzled spin on the Vans Era silhouette, the brand’s first true skate shoe, now seemingly primed for a proper resurgence after a few relatively quiet years.

Multicolor stones decorate the toe box and collar, the latter featuring exposed foam edges. Oversized Satoshi Nakamoto text takes over the sidewalls, which arrive pre-distressed in line with the brand’s previous projects.

Satoshi Nakamoto’s Vans collaborations have proven wildly popular, as have likeminded “Pearlized” Vans collections from the past few seasons. Resale prices for the brand’s first two efforts have soared, in some cases nearing $2,000. If you’re in LA and these Eras are a must, get to the location below ASAP. Connor’s post lists a 4:24 PM local start time.
