“Raincloud” Returns to New Balance 9060 With a Pinch of “Sea Salt”

New Balance has revealed another tonal colorway of the now ultra-popular 9060, bringing back both "Raincloud" and "Sea Salt" into one pair.First introduced in 2022 as a collaborative silhouette with Chicago-born designer Joe Freshgoods, the 9060 has seen a variety of significant collaborations and attractive inline releases. Some of the most recent include Bricks & Wood, Bodega and UNITED ARROWS -- which tonally looks similar to the upcoming Raincloud/Sea Salt.The first instance of raincloud on the 9060 was seen in an August 2020 release, featuring various shades of grey and a red accent at the tongue and a metallic N logo. As for Sea Salt, it arrived on the scene in early January, featuring hues of cream and subtle accents of grey and also included a metallic N logo on the exterior.As for the mashup of the two colorways, the Cloudrain/Sea Salt represents a futuristic but subtle presence, with soft tonal off-white suede covering the entire shoe and the N logo swapped out for an almost matte-finished rubberized grey.The hybrid silhouette, which pulls from the 990 series and early 2000s running shoes such as the 860, has become a go-to for casual wearers and enthusiasts alike.
