Pokémon’s 30th anniversary has quickly become one of the season’s biggest sneaker topics, spawning multiple collaborations geared toward the franchise’s millions upon millions of diehard fans. Joining the “Pikachu” PUMA Suede and a massive Pokémon adidas collection is a brand new Crocs Classic Clog inspired by the Poké Ball, set to release August 28th in full family sizing.

For anyone who’s played the games, watched the movies, or is even remotely familiar with Pokémon, the reference is unmistakable. The red and white Poké Ball, used for catching and storing Pokémon, inspires the clog, complete with a split white and red colorway in classic Poké Ball fashion. The strap endpoints are design to match, and a large metallic Pokémon logo lands on the back of the strap itself. Pikachu, Eevee, and Psyduck all appear as Jibbitz charms, joined by a fourth reading “I Choose You!” for what trainers say when sending Pokémon into battle. This marks the first step in a series of Pokémon x Crocs 30th anniversary drops. A “Pikachu” Classic Clog, “Gengar” Classic Clog, and “Jigglypuff” Classic Platform Clog are in the works for later on.

The Pokémon Crocs Classic Clog “Poké Ball” releases August 28th in adult ($70), kids ($55), and toddler sizes ($50). Pairs will also be available at Pokémon XP in San Francisco from August 28th-30th. See official images below and visit our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse more upcoming collabs.
