In early October it was revealed that New Balance would be expanding upon the heralded 991 with the silhouette’s first-ever evolution in over 20 years. Alongside Stone Island, the 991v2 received a warm welcome this past Fall. Amongst a reserved slate of inline releases, the New Balance 991v2 is cementing its bid for the brand’s ulterior everyday lifestyle staple alongside an upcoming collaboration alongside Patta.

Teaming back up with the Boston-based brand after a year-long hiatus, Patta will be expanding its collaborative palette through a volt and purple accented version of the New Balance 991v2. Much like the florescent green hues that animated the two entities’ New Balance 990v3 solution, a reminiscent neon hue strikes the laces and the visible pockets of cushioning within the sole unit. Complemented by a clad grey mesh base layer and greyscale-tinted heel, the nubuck-constructed upper overlays are doused in a rich plum tone that stretches to the vamp and heel tab, continuing the Amsterdam brand’s affinity for multi-color treatments.

The Patta x New Balance 991v2 is tentatively scheduled to be released at HIP in London. As we await further release details, the pair can be seen above in first-look imagery.
