As recreational and medicinal users prepare for the upcoming global 4/20 holiday, a number of footwear brands have simultaneously begun to showcase their upcoming collections of silhouettes ready to partake in floating up towards the clouds. While Vans and Reebok have been more directly inspired by the marijuana leaf, the adidas Originals team has set its sights on the upcoming early harvest season that sees growers tend to their crops.

Boasting a tear-away ensemble, a light brown rolling paper wrapper envelops the entirety of the adidas Campus 80’s upper, lined with full-length perforations allowing for a versatile 1-of-1 design experience. The seemingly thematic successor to the South Park x adidas Campus 80s “Towelie” dips its laces and nylon sock liner in a light cucumber hue, while the aforementioned shroud houses a lively clad patch of bright green undone suedes that mirrors the flowering plant. Casting color-matched nubucks along the tongue construction, mid-foot Stripes and heel tab, a psychedelic multi-color tie-dye treatment injects a lively personality throughout the undersides of the sidewalls and tongue construction while additionally coating the insoles in the titular hazy association.
