Onitsuka Tiger Launches Mexico 66 "Cactful" Series

For its latest project, Japanese footwear brand Onitsuka Tiger revisits its iconic Mexico 66 silhouette using Mexican cactus-derived materials.The upcoming pairs arrive in five monochromatic pastels including blue, purple, green, yellow, and white. All of the colorways utilize a bio-material dubbed DESSERTO which consists of 66% cactus-derived fabrics. The textile is environmentally friendly, reducing carbon dioxide emissions during the manufacturing process by more than 84% when compared to conventional leather.In addition to the special faux leather uppers, other parts of the shoe such as the OrthoLite insoles and laces are also made with recycled materials.
