Nike isn’t new to this, they’re true to this. Though the “sneaker loafer” concept has recently caught traction in the wake of the New Balance 1906L as brands all attempt to churn out half-formal, half-casual designs, the Swoosh has toyed around with that middle ground countless times, be it in the Nike x Cole Haan era or stretching back to the aughts.

Surprisingly, the latter era stepped back into the light as CDG previewed three Nike Air Max Dolce pairs at Paris Fashion Week, clad head-to-toe in trademark monochromes. True to what was then reported as a Spring/Summer 2026 launch window, official images of the all-black pair have just hit the net. Beyond the flooded look, this sort of crate-digging is par for the course with Comme des Garçons, allowed unfettered access to the Swoosh archives in a way that few partners hold.

Compositionally, glossy shroud containment is the firmest tie to the formal world, while the Nike Air Max Dolce’s sportiest moment comes with the titular tech embedded into the heel. In the spaces between, futuristic Y2K design language informs the etched, molded quarter that hits a point down its midline. To tie down the collab atmosphere, CDG text sits on the leather tongue.
