Nike’s ‘Panda 2.0’ Air Max 1 Drops in January 2024

This year Nike released their iconic Air Max 1 in a simple black & white “Panda” color scheme. Now, it appears a slightly updated 2.0 version will drop sometime in January 2024.

The Air Max 1 has seen a ton of new releases from Nike over the past few years, dressing the legendary running shoe in both retro and fresh colorways with regular releases. This Fall, the Swoosh gave the model a simple black & white look, tying it to the ‘Panda’ Dunk that will see seasonal restocks for the foreseeable future. Now, it appears the AM1 will get the same treatment, though its next release in January 2024 modifies the color blocking ever-so-slightly to create this ‘Panda 2.0’ style. The shoe’s white mesh base has been swapped for a different mesh, and its grey overlays and black Swooshes and mudguards remain the same. However, the inner linings have been changed to all-black, as well as the outsole, eliminating the patch of white from the previous pair.

Nike next release of the Air Max 1 in its updated ‘Panda 2.0’ color blocking has not been announced for release, though they are expected to arrive sometime in January 2024. The simple black & white look will likely be available through both Nike and select retailers, with the usual price tag of $140.
