Nike’s ‘Obsidian’ Air Max 1 Releases September 8th

The Nike Air Max 1 is stacking up releases throughout 2023, refreshing the retro runner with plenty of new styles. This week brings us an early look at a new ‘Obsidian’ pair, featuring the brand’s early-2000s branding.

The Air Max 1 will see plenty of releases over the next few months, with Nike lining up a number of special-edition pairs alongside their standard color schemes. Recently, we got an early look at a new women’s pair, which swaps out the shoe’s usual tongue and heel branding in favor of a sportier, early 2000s style Swoosh and Nike wordmark. The first style comes in a ‘Rugged Orange‘ color, and today, a second pair has surfaced in ‘Obsidian’ blue. The color blocking is the same, with a white mesh base and off-white leather overlays. The obsidian tone covers the mudguard, Swooshes, and outsoles to complete the look.

NIKE AIR MAX 1 ‘OBSIDIAN’ RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s latest pair of the Air Max 1 to surface has not been officially scheduled to release, though we expect to see them land in stores sometime in 2023. Dressed in dark ‘Obsidian’ blue with burnt orange accents, pairs will likely be available from both the SNKRS app and select retailers, with the usual price tag of $160.
