Nike’s “Metallic Silver” GT Future Arrives in December

After showing off their new GT Future silhouette very early this year, Nike is almost ready to launch the new model. The molded silhouette has a number of colors ready for its launch window, including the full-reflective “Metallic Silver” style.

Back in February, Nike took over the San Francisco Bay Area for the NBA All-Star Weekend. The brand had a number of special activations and releases, but the number one takeaway was the unveiling of the GT Future, a brand new model from the Basketball team. The shoe takes inspiration from past icons like the Foamposite and Zoom Hyperflight, constructed from a sculpted single-piece upper and a form-fitting inner bootie. For cushioning the Future packs a forefoot Air Zoom unit, paired with Zoom Strobel and Cushlon 3 foams for impact resistance.

Over the All-Star Weekend, a number of colors were spotted of the GT Future, including matte black and “Fire” orange When the shoe was formally showcased later in a SNKRS live stream, they premiered another style in a “Metallic Silver” finish. This look follows the color blocking of previous pairs, featuring a single tonal color for the molded outer shell of the upper, using the rest of the construction to frame it in black. In addition to the metallic finish on this look, the shoe comes with a full 3M reflective upper.
