The Nike Air Max Goadome boot has been kicking around since 2000. The rugged silhouette made an appearance last year, and will pop up again in 2026, this time with a twist. Frank Cooke teased a new low-top version of the silhouette, coming soon.
In 2000, Nike introduced the Air Max Goadome through their All Conditions Gear (ACG) line. Designed by Carl Blakeslee, it was built to provide a rugged, waterproof alternative to popular outdoor boots like Timberlands by combining durable leather with Nike’s visible Air cushioning and aggressive lug tread for traction.Initially embraced for its functionality, the Goadome also found a place in urban culture, particularly on the East Coast in the early 2000s, where hip-hop and streetwear communities helped elevate its profile beyond outdoor use.
Decades later, the Goadome is still beloved by the same fans who were around for its inception in 2000. Since then, the model has become something of a cult classic, popping up every few years for special projects like last year’s Wale collaboration or the limited-edition pony hair versions. Today, the legendary Nike/Jordan designer Frank Cooke teased a new version of the Air Max Goadome, a low top cut, the first time Nike has ever modified the silhouette. Showing off an all-black colorway of the shoes, Cooke stated that pairs would be on the way in the near future.
