Nike’s “Chrome” CryoShot Mercurial Vapor 1 Releases in 2026

Nike’s CryoShot family has a ton of new members releasing over the next few months. Today brings an official look at Ronaldo Nazário’s “Chrome” Mercurial Vapor 1 OG, coming soon.

After the debut during World Cup festivities, Nike is building out their CryoShot line with plenty of new additions, rehashing iconic cleats worn by football superstars. The launch run included seven styles reinterpreted by collaborators from around the world, with colors and details representing their national football clubs. Nike’s modified boots add a clear TPU sole unit encasing the studs, making the shoes viable for everyday wear. Several new styles of various CryoShot models have emerged this week, filling out a release lineup that extends into 2027, like Mia Hamm‘s signature pair. Before then, we’ll see several other star-studded releases, including Ronaldo Nazário’s Mercurial Vapor 1 cleats from the early 2000s. The pair features a silver chrome finish across the wavy upper, adding black Swooshes and Hot Lime green accents to complete the look.

NIKE CRYOSHOT MERCURIAL VAPOR 1 OG RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s CryoShot version of the Mercurial Vapor 1 boot worn by Ronaldo Nazário does not have an official release date yet, but leaks say this pair will land soon, in 2026. Originally released in the early 2000s, this pair retains the silver chrome finish and Hot Lime accents associated with Nazário, turning the iconic boot into a wearable sneaker. Pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $200.
