Virgil Abloh sadly passed away in 2021, but his legacy in the sneaker world lives on. This year, Nike will reportedly resume release of sneakers he designed, without the Off-White branding of previous releases. This week, a fresh leak suggests that the Nike Cryoshot from ‘The Codes’ exhibit in Paris will release next year.

Back in September, celebrities flocked to Paris to visit The Codes an exhibit showcasing Virgil Abloh’s personal archive of projects and ideas. The event showcased nearly every product Virgil ever worked on, including his extensive body of work with Nike through his label Off-White. Among the Nike section was a curious pair of sneakers, the Nike Cryoshot. This silhouette notably only surfaced this year, as both Nike and adidas rushed to capitalize on the #bootsonly TikTok trend, in which fashionable users were wearing soccer boots as casual sneakers. Abloh passed away in 2021, and likely never participated in the design of this odd pair of footwear. However, it appears Nike has been working behind the scenes with Virgil’s estate, creating new product under his name instead of the larger Off-White branding. According to a leak from @brandon1an, this white, black, and red pair from the ehibit will release in 2026.

VIRGIL ABLOH X NIKE CRYOSHOT RELEASE INFORMATION

The Off-White/Virgil Abloh version of the Nike Cryoshot will reportedly release to the public sometime in 2026, though no date has been announced yet. Previously shown at The Codes exhibit in Paris, this release does not bear any official Off-White branding, and is likely a collaboration between Nike and Abloh’s estate. Pairs are likely to be limited, and will go for $210 each.
