Nike’s Air Max 95 Gets a Neutral “Granite” Colorway for 2026

Nike has gone big on the anniversary celebration of their Air Max 95 this year. The shoe got retrofitted with a Big Bubble sole unit, and has released in dozens of colors. More are still on the way in 2026, including this greyscale “Granite” edition.

This year marked another major milestone for an essential member of the Air Max family. The Air Max 95 turned thirty years old. Designed by Sergio Lozano and inspired by human anatomy, particularly the spinal column, the running shoe cemented its spot in sneaker history years ago. In honor of its anniversary, Nike gave the model the Big Bubble treatment, the same process the Air Max 1 went through to revive the designers’ original vision for the Air cushioning unit.

Since the debut of the new Air bubble format early this year, every release of the AM95 in 2025 has featured the more cushioned midsole. The shoe has dropped in dozens of colors, including OG releases that haven’t been available since the ’90s. In 2026, Nike will continue to issue new styles of the 95, like the “Granite” pair we have a first look at today. This look once again utilizes the shoe’s layered upper for a gradient look, ditching any accent colors in favor of a greyscale palette. The look starts with a black midsole unit with white Air bubbles, and gets lighter and lighter with each layer. The top portion of the shoe comes in white, with grey Air Max branding to complete the look.
