Nike Unveils a Rubik's Cube-Inspired Air Force 1 Low

When it comes to designing new colorways, the designers at Nike let their imaginations run wild and pull from various sources such as animal patterns, food and beverages, sports teams and more. And this year, the Swoosh's Sportswear team is adding to the Nike Air Force 1 Low's extensive catalog by preparing a new colorway that is inspired by the iconic Rubik's Cube.A multi-colored palette dresses up the lifestyle sneaker's upper half in an effort to best translate the visual characteristics of the nostalgic 3-D combination puzzle. Toe boxes, quarter panels, laces, Swooshes, and interior liners are all done up in a clean white tone, allowing all of its surrounding accents to do most of the talking. Red, yellow, blue, orange and green accents make their way onto the overlays while a bright orange drips over the "AIR" branding on the midsoles. Its jumbled presentation is reminiscent of what a Rubik's Cube looks like when its blocks have been shifted in different directions and don't align.
