PlayStation and Nike are reuniting for another entry in their 20-year collaborative history. This morning, Nike .SWOOSH shared a short teaser video which prominently features a PS5 controller, and more info coming soon.

Nike and PlayStation have built a small but memorable legacy of collaborations that merge sneaker culture with gaming nostalgia. Their partnership began in 2006 with the Nike Air Force 1 Low “PlayStation,” a rare release featuring glossy patent leather and colors inspired by the PS2 era. In 2009, another limited Air Force 1 celebrated PlayStation’s continued influence. The collaboration returned in 2018 with Paul George’s PG2 “PlayStation” and later the PG2.5 and PG5, each incorporating console-inspired hues, dynamic LED-style logos, and controller-button detailing.

In recent years, Nike has pivoted their .SWOOSH sub-label away from NFTS and digital products and towards gaming-inspired sneaker releases. The official change came in 2024, and began their releases with a special pixelated style of the Air Max 1. In 2025, they’ve had a number of special releases, including sneakers inspired by GoldenEye 007, Donkey Kong, Tomb Raider, and the Yu-Gi-Oh! Air Max 95. Now, the video game oriented label is teasing the return of a PlayStation x Nike collaboration. This tease came in the form of a shot clip posted to Instagram, which features a desk and PC set in a grassy field, all of which is rendered in an older graphical style. The PlayStation aspect comes in the form of their current-gen DualSense PS5 controller sitting on the desk.

As of now, there is no official information regarding what this project will entail or when it will release. Given .SWOOSH’s past rollout strategies, we could see a release by the end of the month, if not early in 2026.
