Nike continues to embrace glossy finishes on the Air Force 1, and its latest colorway may strike a chord with New Yorkers who have always loved boot culture.
Freshly revealed for the Fall/Winter 2026 season, the upcoming Air Force 1 Low pairs a Dark Team Red leather base with Dark Spruce patent leather overlays, creating a cold-weather palette that feels more at home in late autumn than during the summer months. The patent leather treatment also taps into one of the silhouette’s biggest recent trends, as Nike continues to experiment with elevated finishes on its most iconic sneaker.
The color combination also invites an inevitable comparison, and while not an official “Beef and Broccoli” colorway, the pairing comes surprisingly close to the aesthetic popularized by the legendary Timberland Field Boot. The combination of earthy brownish shade and deep green has long been synonymous with New York City style, earning its “Beef and Broccoli” nickname decades ago and becoming a seasonal staple throughout the five boroughs. Nike stops just short of recreating that formula here, but the resemblance is difficult to ignore.
A release date for the Nike Air Force 1 Low has yet to be announced, but the pair is expected to arrive during the Fall/Winter 2026 season.
