Nike Colors the Air Force 1 ’01 in “Light Army” for Fall 2026

Nike’s remastered ’01 edition of the Air Force 1 is finally here. After some initial collabs, the model is surfacing in fresh in-line styles, like this “Light Army” green edition, coming in Fall 2026.

Sneakers come and go with trends, but some models like the Air Force 1 are forever. Introduced in 1982, Nike has iterated on the basketball model regularly for the past 40+ years, messing with shape, materials, and cushioning technology for different styles. When it comes to shape, the Swoosh uses the year it was introduced as a stock-keeping designation. The most enduring version is the ’07, which is still in rotation nearly twenty years later, but this year, the iconic ’01 edition is back. Cited by longtime collectors as the best version, the 2001 model has a slimmer toe box, more closely reflecting the original ’80s incarnation. Today the AF1 ’01 has appeared in a fresh color scheme for Fall, coloring the model in a seasonally appropriate “Light Army” olive green shade. The same tone appears on the outsoles and AIR branding, while black Swooshes and Nike Air hits complete the look.

Nike’s latest colorway of the remastered ’01 Air Force 1 does not have a set release date yet, but is planned to arrive soon in Fall 2026. The new look colors the leather upper in a faded “Light Army” olive green tone, paired with jet black branding for a minimal look. Pairs will be available through both Nike and select retailers for $140.
