Devin Booker’s connection to Kobe Bryant goes back to his rookie season in 2016. After Booker faced Bryant during his final NBA season, Kobe signed a pair of Kobe 4s for him with the words “Be Legendary” written on the shoes. Bryant also signed a pair of the Kobe 11s for him. Booker has carried that message with him over the years, including on player exclusives worn during the NBA Finals and on his Nike Book 1. Now, the same theme arrives on a pair that will receive a public release.
This Nike Book 2 uses a Bright Violet, Black, and Wolf Grey color scheme. Lighter purple tumbled leather covers the lower portion of the upper, while darker ripstop material appears higher up. A glossy Black Swoosh runs across the sides, with more Purple on the laces and tongue. The sockliner also carries a textured Purple finish.
The design keeps several familiar Book 2 details in place. “Chapter Two” appears on the heel pull tab, while Devin Booker branding is placed on the tongue. Underneath, the speckled Grey midsole leads into an icy translucent outsole. Unlike some of Booker’s previous “Be Legendary” player exclusives, the retail pair does not appear to feature the words directly on the shoe.
