It’s SKIMS’ world and we’re living it. That’s how it’s felt in recent years as the Kim Kardashian-fronted imprint has picked up A-list sponsorship after A-list sponsorship, joining hands with the NBA and seemingly every stylish celebrity under the sun as the shapewear brand has become a household name. It’s hard to argue that inducting any name into their canon has been more important that finally nabbing Nike, as the Swoosh’s inaugural SKIMS collection became a sell-out event.

Yet even if initial reception to that performance apparel line was ravenous, anytime a new face enters Beaverton, we’re immediately thinking footwear. Kardashian confirmed that we weren’t off-base in doing so towards the end of last year, teasing the first Nike SKIMS shoes in a Complex News sit-down.

That chapter is finally upon us as the NikeSKIMS Rift Mesh comes to light. The choice of silhouette is an obvious one, a halfway point between earnest performance and cutting-edge fashionability, and one of the Swoosh’s more unabashedly feminine formulations they have going. To their credit, SKIMS doesn’t simply issue some palette swaps on the trendy kick. Instead, the Rift Mesh issues in new no-sew construction and a plush, pronounced heel counter. To ensure you can clock the collab inspo from square one, NikeSKIMS branding sits on the strap. True to form, Nike and Skims outfit the Rift in flooded neutrals, delivered in dark tan, black, and a deep brown.

The Nike x SKIMS Rift Mesh capsule is currently expected to drop on January 26th in women’s sizing, clocking in at $150 a piece.
