Nike Basketball debuted the Air Penny 2 during the 1996-97 NBA season as Penny Hardaway’s second signature shoe. Following a few collaborative releases already in the books, the Swoosh is now getting ready to release more GR (general release) colorways, such as this “Panda” makeup.
Dressed in a clean White and Black color blocking to give off that classic “Panda” vibe. This offering of the Nike Air Penny 2 comes constructed in a mix of leather, nubuck, and mesh materials detailed with minor airbrushing. Other details includes dual pull tabs, signature “Penny” branding on the tongues, heels, and underfoot with Nike Basketball motifs on the insoles. A White midsole atop a Black rubber outsole completes the design.
Check out the official photos below, and look for the Nike Air Penny 2 “Panda” to release in the coming months at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com. The retail price tag is set at $210 USD.
