Nike Air More Uptempo “OG” Releasing With a Slight Twist

Nike is set to reintroduce the Air More Uptempo, a classic from the brand’s nostalgic product lineup, in a timeless “Black/White” color scheme. 

This iconic sneaker, closely associated with NBA legend Scottie Pippen, is making a comeback with a few tweaks that bring it closer to the original 1996 design. The upcoming Nike Air More Uptempo features a black nubuck upper, with the signature oversized “AIR” lettering outlined in white. The design is not an exact replica of the original 1996 style but closely mirrors the version sported on professional basketball courts during the NBA’s “golden era.”

The shoe also retains its original black Jewel Swoosh on the heels. A black rubber sole sits atop a full-length Air-sole unit, with a large white Swoosh underfoot completing the design. The two-tone arrangement of the outsole pays homage to Wilson Smith’s iconic design.
