While this pair isn’t identical to the original release, it features a White upper, giving it the “2.0” moniker.
Tianjin sneakerheads have unofficially declared the Foamposite as their city’s official sneaker, and Nike openly acknowledged this in 2015 with a hyper-limited release featuring an all-over print of Chinese artwork, including koi fish and lotus flowers. Because it was released exclusively in Asia, the sneaker became extremely difficult to obtain, quickly earning grail status among collectors and commanding some of the highest resale prices the model has ever seen on the secondary market. Eleven years later, Nike is back to tell that same story with a fresh coat of paint.
This Nike Air Foamposite One is a brighter and more eye-catching take on the original. The shoe draws heavily on Chinese folk art and cultural imagery, with a traditional female figure prominently depicted on the lateral side. Lotus flowers, koi fish scales, and other floral elements fill the upper, while Chinese characters are embroidered on the heel in Gold on Yellow.
